Tue 4 May 21
It has never been more important to share responsible tourism messaging across family, friends, visitors and colleagues so that we can all do our bit to help keep Scotland beautiful.
Aligning with the #RespectProtectEnjoy campaign, Wild Scotland today launches a responsible tourism photography competition. The point of the competition is to inspire people to enjoy Scotland’s great outdoors responsibly through the sharing of images and messaging #KeepScotlandWild.
The competition will run from today until the 31st May 2021 and the winner will receive the perfect combination for a plastic free, leave no trace lunch – a Hydro Flask for hot and cold drinks and a reusable beeswaz wrapper for their sandwiches
Full competition details below:
WHAT CAN YOU WIN?
Up for grabs are the perfect items for plastic-free and leave no trace packed lunch when you’re out and about. We’re giving away a 21oz flask from the brand Hydro Flask and a reusable beeswax wrapper from BeeBee & Leaf.
What do you have to do to be eligible to win these items? Simple! Share a picture on Instagram that you’ve taken either of people enjoying Scotland’s outdoors actively and responsibly or of Scottish landscapes, nature and wildlife. Tag your picture with the hashtag #keepscotlandwild to enter. The competition is open between the 3rd of May and midnight on the 31st of May.
Entries are welcome from all UK residents, but all images must have been photographed in Scotland.
All entries need to feature the competition hashtag #keepscotlandwild.
Upon the closing date, a shortlist of 10 people will be selected by the Wild Scotland team. All those on the shortlist will be contacted via social media to supply a high-resolution file for final judging, along with detailed caption information.
The organisers cannot be held responsible for messages that do not arrive e.g. due to going into spam folders.
Judging will be held on the 3rd/4th of June by a Judging Panel comprising of Wild Scotland members.
The winner will be announced on the 7th of June. The winner will be notified on social media.
The shortlist and the winner be published on the Wild Scotland Website and social channels.
The Judging Panel’s decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
