VisitScotland eUpdate - April 2014

Wed 30 Apr 14

Visitors will have experienced many brilliant moments over the Easter holidays including the launch of the John Muir Festival and the magnificent Kelpies in Falkirk with glorious weather truly making Scotland shine and many attractions noting good footfall.

Our Brilliant Moments campaign has also seen great success with 41 million adults across the UK having seen the television advert an average of eight times and the next screenings are currently being planned. We’re working with a large number of partners to deliver elements of our activity including P&O, Stena Line, East Coast, Hilton, Flybe/Loganair, ScotRail and Scottish Canals. This activity delivers our messaging to millions of visitors – that they should visit Scotland this year and, of course, again in the future. Most recently we discovered the appetite for Scotland’s stunning islands is greater than ever thanks to an overwhelming interest in our Brilliant Island Moments prize draw in partnership with Caledonian MacBrayne and Serco NorthLink Ferries.

The competition to become a winner in the 8,000 free ticket draw to Scotland’s islands was entered by over 63,000 people. May heralds Whisky Month which promises yet more brilliant moments across the country.

What brilliant moments will you and your visitors experience in 2014? Enjoy this month’s eUpdate.
