The Scottish Thistle Award for Best Bar/ Pub celebrates the key role of bars and pubs in the experience Scotland's visitors. Whether offering bespoke evening cocktails overlooking vibrant cityscapes or a relaxing drink by a warm fire, they provide visitors with a wide variety of options in a wide variety of settings.

The Criterion Bar in St Andrews was named the Best Bar/ Pub for the Central, Fife & Tayside region. Despite being small in size, the bar serves a selection of 166 whiskies, 82 gins, more than 30 rums and six cask ales. It strives to ensure that everyone who walks through its doors experiences Scotland at its best, serving locally sourced food and drink and their famous Cri Pies from morning to midnight.
