Food from Fife 'Year of Food and Drink' Dinner
A successful collaboration between Food from Fife and Fife College is about to serve up another real treat for foodies. To help mark Scotland’s Year of Food and Drink, and provide an excellent hands-on experience for hospitality students, a special dinner is being held at the college in Kirkcaldy, St Brycedale Campus, Kirkcaldy, KY1 1EX at 6.30pm until 10pm on Thursday 14th May, 2015
The event is being organised, produced and delivered by a team of Fife College students to help celebrate and promote our local and seasonal food and drink - and a number of Food from Fife members will be participating. The menu will feature produce from Ardross Farm Shop, Balgove Larder, Eden Mill Distillery and Brewery, Puddledub Pork, Spencerfield Spirit Company, and the National Trust for Scotland's Kellie Castle. Producers included in the menu will also be providing some background to diners as the courses are served, and there will be a number of promotional stands at the event too.
In tandem with the college’s acclaimed team of chef/lecturers, mentoring is being provided by chefs and representatives from the Adamson, the Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort and Spa, Fairmont St Andrews, and St Andrews Links Trust. The event will comprise a gin cocktail drinks reception, three course meal (including vegetarian options), plus coffee, petits fours and a whisky toast.
