FEAT (Fife Employment Action Trust) is involved at Silverburn Park near Leven and is progressing plans to regenerate the Park to try to ensure its long term sustainable future. Whilst this focusses on developing the Flax Mill as a hub for the Park, accommodating a café, exhibition space, accommodation, meeting rooms and Park offices there are two other disused buildings within the Park - Corriemar and Silverburn House. Both of these buildings have been unused for some time, are boarded up and likely to require significant investment to bring them back into productive use. Some of the suggested re-use options are tourism related and include self catering holiday accommodation, a visitor/heritage centre, and a centre related to Fife Coastal Path and/or outdoor education.
Any views or observations in terms of potential re-use options for these buildings, including for tourism purposes or other uses would be most welcome.
