VisitScotland are delighted to share their exciting new collaboration with UNESCO which officially launches across our digital and social media platforms today (Friday 15 October).
Scotland’s UNESCO Trail is the first national UNESCO Trail anywhere in the world that brings together our country’s full range of UNESCO place-based designations (World Heritage, Global Geoparks, Biospheres and Creative Cities) whilst promoting responsible tourism.
The trail has been created through a unique and global-first partnership between the Scottish Government, UK National Commission for UNESCO, representatives of Scotland’s 13 designation sites, VisitScotland, Historic Environment Scotland, NatureScot and the National Trust for Scotland.
A range of fantastic assets have been created for the trail including a dedicated microsite, videos, industry toolkit and image collection on our Digital Media Library.
