The Harbour Café - Mother’s Day Seafood Hamper
Weeds might not be a typical Mother’s Day gift, but Great British Menu chef Amy Elles is hoping to change that. Inspired by her coastal home, Amy and her husband Jack have designed a Mother’s Day Hamper using foraged seaweed and other local ingredients from their restaurant, The Harbour Café in the East Neuk of Fife. There are plenty of optional extras on their website including Picpoul de Pinet French white wine, chocolates, champagne or a dozen oysters to personalise the delivery. Priced at £35 per person, including nationwide delivery. All packaging is compostable or fully recyclable.

Due to current travel restrictions, the market in the East Neuk is only open to Fife residents. Shoppers can pre-order using Bowhouse Link for collection before browsing for added extras on the day, or simply come along and select from the stalls.
This month’s specials from producers based at Bowhouse will include organic mutton from the nearby fields on Balcaskie Estate, sausages flavoured with stout and wild venison from Butchery at Bowhouse, alongside organic spiced rum and farmhouse beers from Futtle and a selection of Mother’s Day bouquets from Keeping the Plot.
The market will be open from 10am – 4pm on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th March. For maximum ease on the day, visitors can pre-order food and drink online at Bowhouse Link for assured supplies for collection on Saturday.
