Is your business passionate about youth development and employment?
Fife is embracing Developing the Young Workforce (DYW), the national strategy for strengthening links between businesses and education. This initiative, led by the private sector (DYW Board), not only develops young people, it also helps business by developing their future workforce and continuing to grow the Fife economy. Over 3,000 businesses in Fife are already engaged in getting people career-ready through Opportunities Fife and wider employability initiatives. Getting involved through DYW gives businesses further opportunities to link with schools to engage, inform and inspire young Fifers.
DYW are looking to source employers and partners to support a programme of helping 10/15 pupils nearing transition to continue learning skills with an employability focus can help sustain a positive destination. On completion of the 3 days pupils will gain a Dynamic Youth Award at SCQF Level 3.
They are looking for partners/employers to deliver one session of roughly 45 minutes that will be physically/virtually accessed and relayed to the pupils on a large screen which will create interaction and the feeling of hands-on activities. Any materials to run the sessions will be provided by DYW Fife.
The event will be supported by the DYW Fife team, Employability Officers, 16+ keyworkers, SDS Work Coaches, and will allow for an initial introduction to key adults who may work closely with this cohort of young people when they leave school.
