Kirkcaldy & Mid-Fife tourism looks to winter opportunities

Mon 16 Dec 13

As autumn begins tourism businesses in Kirkcaldy and mid-Fife are looking ahead to winter opportunities to attract visitors.

Drew Shedden, chair of the Local Tourist Association, hopes that a meeting next week (Tuesday 22nd October) will spark new ideas to promote the area and extend the tourism season. The group is also keen to attract new members to come along and get involved in plans to develop tourism in the area.

Drew Shedden said, "We know that the area has a great deal to offer visitors but it is important that we have a joint approach to promotion. I'm keen to discuss how digital communications can help us and also how businesses working together can bring more benefits.  The more people who come along on the night, the more ideas we can share."

Businesses are invited to come along to the Bay Hotel, Pettycur Bay, Kinghorn on Tuesday 22nd October at 7pm to discuss new ideas.
