The Fife Tourism Partnership are delighted to once again host #GetYerKiltOn; an exciting social media campaign to promote and celebrate St Andrew’s Day which takes place on Monday the 30th of November.
Last year, people from all over the world shared photographs of themselves wearing kilts to showcase the rich culture, heritage and hospitality, of not only Fife, but the whole of Scotland.
This year’s campaign will begin on Sunday the 1st of November 2020 and The Fife Tourism Partnership are appealing to Fife’s community to get behind the exciting initiative by showing why Scotland is such a fantastic place to visit.
Previous supporters and participants have included Scottish Cyclist Mark Beaumont, Jack Vettriano, Julie Fowlis, comedian Craig Hill, Grammy-Award winning singer Huey Lewis, The Fife Flyers and the Kilted Yogis.
Local businesses, event organisers and community groups in Fife are being encouraged to get involved by hosting Scottish-themed promotions, window displays or activities on the weekend leading up to, or on Monday the 30th of November.
If you, as a local business or group, are interested in hosting any type of activity for St Andrew’s Day this year, a #GetYerKiltOn digital toolkit has been made available to provide you with more information, marketing materials and instructions on how to get involved.
The Fife Tourism Partnership will promote all planned St Andrews Day activity on www.welcometofife.com once the campaign commences.
The Fife Tourism Partnership will be running a competition alongside the campaign and would be very grateful if any Fife business would like to participate by kindly donating a prize.
