Fife Food & Drink businesses exhibit at Scotland's Speciality Food Show.

23 Fife companies will be showcasing their produce at the only trade show in Scotland for the speciality food and drink sector from 19th to 21st January 2020 at Glasgow’s SEC. They are taking some of the very best, award winning, locally produced Food and Drink products to the show to win new retail and trade contracts.

A number of these companies were eligible for and received assistance from Fife Council’s Trade Development Programme, which supports companies to attend and exhibit at trade shows and exhibitions in the UK and abroad.  

Fife Council’s Economic Development Team provide a range of support services to businesses from advice and information, to customised training supporting the exhibition experience as well as wider market and trade development needs. This support allows small and medium sized businesses the chance to exhibit to around 1,000 dedicated food buyers of delis, farm shops, speciality food retailers and food hall buyers at the show.

To enhance the promotion of the businesses Fife Council have co-ordinated a number of shell scheme areas within the show, covering over 30m2 of floorspace, which will highlight the very best offerings from Fife Food and Drink Producers. There are also Fife companies located within the Launch Gallery area of the show, giving them the opportunity to meet new trade and retail customers and accelerate the growth rate of their business.

Cllr Altany Craik, Convener of Fife Council’s Economy, Tourism, Strategic Planning & Transportation Committee, said: “We know there’s significant potential to further develop the Food and Drink sector and as a Council we’re delighted to be able to help local businesses showcase their produce at the only trade show for the speciality Food and Drink market in Scotland. This is part of the continual rollout of the Food and Drink Action Plan which is designed to ensure that business support is available from Fife Council and its partners to Fife Food and Drink companies of all sizes.”

The companies that are exhibiting at the show are Coul Brewing, Rumburra Scotland, Growers Garden, Lindores Abbey, Heroes Vodka, Tayport Distillery, St Andrews Brewing Company Ltd, Cook Books by Christopher Trotter, The Farmers Son, The Wee Tea Company, FoodMek, The Very Lovely Sauce Company, Feragaia, Common Coffee, St Andrews Farmhouse Cheese, Pilgrims Gin, ESC Packaging, Stahly Foods, New Alliance (Your Piece Making Co), The Cress Company, Pittenween Preserves, Little Herb Farm, BPlasticFree.
