The Inner Forth has a lot to offer as a tourism destination. A unique landscape, a rich natural and historic heritage, and a great public and active transport network that puts it in a perfect place to be part of the sustainable tourism boom.
According to recent research, many tourists are now looking for more authentic, local experiences, more sustainable ways to travel, and a sense of discovering hidden gems. The Inner Forth ticks all those boxes. This free conference aims to explore how businesses, organisations and local communities could make the most of these great assets to develop a more integrated approach to tourism for the whole of the Inner Forth.
There will be presentations from Visit Scotland's Regional Director Neil Christison, local destination marketing organisations from Falkirk, Fife, Clackmannanshire and Stirling, along with case studies from further afield.
There will be workshops on digital marketing, screen tourism, wildlife hotspots and new local initiatives.
And perhaps most importantly, you will have the opportunity to network with fellow tourism businesses, organisations etc from across the area, pick up new ideas, and share your thoughts on the best ways to maximise opportunities for sustainable tourism in the Inner Forth.
We are also now offering delgates the opportunity to provide a case study poster about how their organisation, project or business is helping to promote more sustainable tourism in the Inner Forth or elsewhere. A template will be provided. If you are interested please email us at [email protected] for more information.
