Announcing the Fife Tourism Conference

Thu 3 Sep 15

It's all coming together, with the agenda for this year's Fife Tourism Conference shaping up around the theme of digital tourism and working together to promote Fife.

Open to registered Fife Tourism Partnership businesses, this previous sell out event is set to be an interesting morning, jam packed with a great line up of speakers.

From an IT futurologist, delving into the future of tourism where possibilities become reality, to an engaging duo exploring the world of accessible tourism through digital means and how you can benefit from this lucrative market.

No conference is complete without some interactive workshops and we have three afternoon sessions in store. These will be geared up to provide your business with some practical tips and advice about relevant tourism opportunities in the area.

Chris McCoy of VisitScotland will share her knowledge and expertise on Scotland's £1.5 billion accessible tourism market, the opportunities for your business, and some practical advice, hints and tips on what you can do to attract this ever growing market. Chris will be joined by the team from Euan's Guide who have developed a TripAdvisor style site featuring disabled access reviews from disabled people and their friends and families.

What's more, Nick Kwek, a TV producer at BBC Click, the BBC's technology television programme featuring the latest technology, gadgets, games and computer industry news has also agreed to provide an afternoon workshop.

An early start, the conference opens at 8am with breakfast and wraps up at 1pm with lunch.

Pencil the date and venue into you diary today to make sure you don't miss out on an exciting morning hosted by Fife Council with support from the Fife Tourism Partnership and VisitScotland.

Compered for the day by a familiar face within the Fife tourism community Alistair Bruce, Chair of the Fife Tourism Partnership, the event will provide a great platform to network with local likeminded businesses.
